Abstract

This critical review discusses the volume Roma a tempo di musica. Percorsi di didattica musicale transculturale by Alessandro Cosentino (Rome, NeoClassica, 2023), a multimodal reconstruction of an applied ethnomusicology course carried out in a high school in Rome. The aim is to highlight the diversity of the capital’s cultural life through the workshop practice of repertoires from both early 20th-century art music and the oral tradition.
